Radio deejays organising concert in aid of Thai flood victims

THIS Christmas, 988 wants to spread more cheer around the town.

DJ Anson, Hau Min, Yi Hui and Nick brings out a brand new Christmas song It’s Merry Xmas Now to celebrate the festive season.

Sponsored by York, It’s Merry Xmas Now is painstakingly produced with dedication, from the concept and songwriting to music and video production.

All to foster a merrier December for its listeners.

Sing for charity: Local radio station 988 has released its own Christmas song titled ‘It’s Merry Xmas Now’.

It’s Merry Xmas Now is written by Dickson Chai, and a 988 production.

DJ Anson, one of the song’s singers said, “For once this year, we are having a ‘new’ Christmas song instead of the classic Christmas collections. Hence, we are very determined to make it as awesome as possible.”

When asked about their desired Christmas gifts, all four DJs humuorously wished for romantic interests so they would not have to spend the festive season alone.

Though they agreed in unison that they would most probably be celebrating with friends.

During the festive season, 988 remembers Thailand which is combating the devastating floods.

In conjunction with a charity concert, to be held on Nov 27 at Berjaya Times Square Kuala Lumpur, 988, with the support of York, is donating 500 pieces of It’s Merry Xmas Now album to the event. All proceeds goes to the aid.

It’s Merry Xmas Now begins airing on 988 from Nov 23.
