Agriculture aid for Kuang traders

What say you on the issue below?

A TOTAL of RM360,000 worth of agricultural aid was presented to 220 small traders and farmers in Kuang recently.

Kuang assemblyman Abdul Shukur Idrus managed to get the funds from the Agriculture Ministry.

Abdul Shukur said besides the usual RM100,000 allocation, he received extra funds from the ministry and hoped it could ease the burden of traders and farmers who were struggling to cope with their daily lives.

Generous deed: Abdul Shukur (fourth left) showing the items to a trader who received a blender for her business.

The farmers received chicks, ducklings, fishes, goats, cows, chicken feed, fertilisers and the traders were given furniture, ovens, grass-cutting machines and electrical appliances.

“Being born in this village, I know the hardship people here face in buying these items.

“This aid will help the traders improve their business. Some of them earn between RM700 and RM1,000 monthly and with the aid, they could double their income,’’ said Abdul Shukur.

He said the ministry would give another annual RM100,000 to about 50 youths in Kuang in December
